Up the Disco-(Panda Transport) Covered by Mach Fox by Panda Transport

Mach Fox bio:
Among the lifetime residents of Abyssville are those rock and rollers whose faith in the liberating rebellion of Electropunk music gets crossed up into a personal need to defy convention and authority – all authority. Clinging to icons whose cools convey a fearless sense of adventure, they are buffeted by the rigors of a lifestyle that would embalm a vampire and propelled by audience expectations of superhuman hedonism and indulgence.
Mach FoX is the quintessential Electro-Rocker, a glam punk who digs the roots, a true believer in the machine backbeat. A man who lives the music as if it means something, and gives himself over to it in a near fatal rock ritual. An Electropunk who dresses in his habit defiantly, disgustedly- like a close-fitting tattered mesh shirt, Mach and machines have become as inseperable as Mach and his old hat and goggles. Time and again, he hauls himself through the fire to prove that he is no myth- but a keeper of the flame. If Marc Bolan was the godfather of glam then Mach FoX will most certainly sire the child of Mpls. Electropunk.

Philippe Petit and Lydia Lunch, Frioul Island, July.

Friday, August 7th, 2009

We were delighted to be invited by my old mate Philippe Petit at his show at Mimi Festival in Marseille.

He was performing with Lydia Lunch, the festival is on the Frioul Island.

Weather was windy and rainy, so the trip on the boat was a lot of fun.

Technically Philippe was really worry cause no-one was able to know if the set will happen or not.

Finally it’s happened and it was kind of magic..What to say about Lydia Lunch who is a great artist which a huge charism, Philippe was like a spider in the shadow, moving and scratching his gear..the stormy atmosphere, the ruins on the island, the light show and finally the performance were memorable..

If they play around your place don’t miss them…a moment I will not forget.

<!– @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } –> Panda Transport is composed of Thierry Holweck, made in France, and more known
in the world of music under the name of Severin24 (known in the small indie world)
and the songstress Kathy Compton, made in the USA. These two people do
electro-pop made in quality. The album Plush Mechanique is out for one year now
and if I didn’t speak about it until now, it’s because I didn’t know about it
before. Still,  these two people do really grabby stuff, and that the
“demoiselle” does also really nice solo work under her own name and that I’m
waiting for the next release.

may showers & murdered chicks

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

when i look outside my yurt window what do i see? do mine eyes deceive me or is that german shepherd wearing a necklace of baby chicks around his neck? 10 downy pom-pom sized chicks sprouted from their eggs at easter and now their aromatic corpses are a reminder to their murderer that murder is not a nice thing to do. and that you will probably not get as many dates if you accessorize in such a fashion. bad dog.

while thierry slaves with his paper and crayons making the next video for “transmission” it is my job to find a residence for us for 2 weeks in july. we want to play everyday for the second half of the month somewhere in the world. be it ocracoke, bangkok or new zealand. if you know of someone who would like to host such a residency, please let us know. you will make us very happy pandas.

our friend and heroine mary ellen turned us on to this blog featuring this video and now i turn it on to you, click opera:
