Dans le cadre de ce festival, un concours de nouvelles sur ce thème sera organisé à la Médiathèque George Sand.

French multimedia artist (composer, remixer, dj, sound designer, photographer, modeling).
With his music we travel through sensitive and cosmopolitan landscapes where electro, rock and pop music meet and merge.
His accomplished album called « L’envol » (2005) was noticed as far as Italy. His success was confirmed on the Internet and his MySpace page on which his new tracks on display were warmly and widely welcomed. Through that community site, English band and French musicians like Panda Transport, 19 New Project, Aube L, Severin24 got in touch with Ian and asked him to remix their tracks.
He also went on a series of live performances and DJ sets in Paris and his hometown Rennes (France). His lively and dynamic mixing sets – where new rave mix with veiled references to oldies – are also part of his own universe.

it all started when february came around and we asked derek which song he wanted for his birthday. he said a song about ice cream and since i, kathy, fudged up last year’s present and did not deliver, leapt at the chance to compose a love letter about cold sugar. thierry then made the song sound bitchin. then we flew all the way to the west coast and made a commercial with tonya (who is awesome to pal around with especially at disneyland). tonya had breast cancer last year. she triumphed and decided that being a purveyor of sweets is so much more interesting than being a dental hygenist. willy wonka would be proud.

It is typical, kathy pounding away, and wanting to do it over because her head is in the clouds all too often. Thierrys job is to try and catch her by the toe with a piece of string and lasso her ankle on a regular basis. Kathys job is to listen and then keep listening, for a rather long time sometimes. This is how it works.

Come, look with me into panda-vision…….I see a panda plane filled with the beautiful people. I see a brooding man with a red camera (snap. it doesn’t look red). I see hair and make-up girls. They are touching me. . Dressing me with tubes and creams. I’m wearing looong fuck me boots and a mom scarf. And BIG HAIR. My god it’s big! I see puppies! (there are puppies even in panda land, yay!).
I had a dream we made a video in LA and this is what I saw:

The director was not wearing a lab coat, but had a gigantic collection of band t-shirts. He would punch the producer everytime she offered him a girl scout cookie.
In the future, some people will communicate only through their screeens. And dress up like an air hostess.

At one point, I thought the plane was going down. But instead of panicking I decided to utilize my strengths and sing a song about it, and how we should not miscalculate the strength of our souls, our inner strengths. I’m such a goober I know.
